New Generation: New functions, new satellite server

Winter term is about to start, which means that it is about time to provide you with the newest information on improvements in the bwLehrpool system.

The bwLehrpool team has invested much time and work in a new version of the satellite server. The bwLehrpool-Suite "Dozentenmodul", which teaching staff use to upload virtual machines in bwLehrpool and to connect them to their courses, has been reprogrammed and improved through new functionalities.

Some of these are listed below:

•  when starting the program, you will be informed about available updates
• downloads and uploads will automatically resume if the connection was interrupted
• you can request e-mail notifications about important events
• log-in details can be stored, so as not to have to enter information each time

The satellite server as well has seen improvements. Individual users can, for instance, be blocked or be granted more rights, and the much requested "Wizard" is now available for use in active directory configuration.
