Fake invoices from the University IT Services or other University institutions
Since this week there is an increasing number of fake invoices being sent by which use fake addresses from the University IT Services. These emails should be deleted immediately and attachments should neither be clicked nor opened.
An article in the anruf (German) has listed some criteria regarding how suspucious emails can be spotted. In this case, suspicion should already arise due to the fact that the University IT Services never sends invoices in the form of a Microsoft Word document. Some addresses from mailing lists are also being faked.
