04.04.2022: Change in the management of the IT Services - new contact persons
After the retirement of the longtime RZ director Gerhard Schneider, we would like to inform you about the new contact contact persons of the University's IT Services.
Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schneider retired on March 31 after more than 20 years as Director of the Computing Center. Until an official successor for the RZ management has been clarified, the following interim solution will apply from 01.04.2022:
- CIO: New CIO Prof. Dr. Marc Scholl is already in office since 01.01.2022. He is assigned full-time to the Rectorate and represents all strategic issues regarding IT developments at the university. In this role, Mr. Scholl also assumes official supervision of the IT Services, but not the operational management of the Computer Center Directorate.

- RZ-Directorate: The directorate of the IT Services will be taken over by two department heads from 01.04. on. The two designated managers are Dr. Nicole Wöhrle (Head of Department E-Learning) and Dr. Dirk von Suchodoletz (Head of Department eScience). Dr. Nicole Wöhrle will be in charge of the organizational office business and the secretariat. Mr. von Suchodoletz is responsible for questions concerning infrastructural developments. The representation of the RZ in committees, for cooperations etc. will be done proportionally.
