bwForCluster ENM approved

The bwForCluster ENM is part of the bwHPC concept for supply of High Performance Computing Ressources for all scientists at higher education facilities in Baden-Württemberg.

The Freiburg site supplies resources for the following subject areas country-wide: elementary particle physics, neuroscience, microsystem engineering. In order to support scientists in using HPC resources, the accompanying project bwHPC C5 has founded the competency center ENM.

The DFG approval has paved the way for acquisition of HPC hardware. Our next step will be a EU-wide call for tenders in the second half of April.
