Hey hey Wiki! Wiki Comparison

Which wiki is better suited for my class - the DokuWiki or the Wiki on ILIAS? We have summarized the main points of difference.

Wikis are increasingly being used for collaborative work at Freiburg University. Students are able to work together on texts, glossaries, protocols, to translate articles, etc. by using wikis.

The Service Center E-Learning has been offering a Wiki-Service for 4 years. Via this service, university instructors were able to create and work on DokuWikis in their classes.

Now that Freiburg University is changing to the learning management system ILIAS, the following question has come up: What is the difference between a DokuWiki and an ILIAS Wiki? Which one is better suited for my purposes? The answer is: it depends. It depends on what you would like to use it for.
