Microsoft and the Office for Information Security are warning against internet explorer
Versions 7 to 9 of the Microsoft Internet Explorer are on all producitve Windows platforms affected by severe security gaps.
Microsoft has not yet been able to amend this problem. They therefore recommend disabling certain options. The Office for Informaton Security advises the usage of other browsers as one option.
Windows 8 with a preinstalled internet explorer is not affected.
