2024-01-24 10:13: Revocation of S/MIME certificates (user certificates) of our institution

#ufrstatus #failure Due to an error at Sectigo, a number of our institution's user certificates have to be reapplied for.

We have received a message from Sectigo via the DFN contact person that a large number of S/MIME certificates from our institution will be revoked this Friday, January 26 at 23:15 UTC. The cause seems to be that Sectigo has chosen an organization identifier during validation at our institution in recent months that is not permitted.

The new validation has already been carried out (hopefully correctly this time).

Affected certificate holders have already been informed by e-mail to reapply for their certificates.
