2024-02-13 Malfunctions in the access authorization of some (Siport) cards
The background to this lies in the cooperation between the different systems, which ultimately ensure that the correct data ends up in the locking system. This is because the university and the university hospital use different HR systems (HIS SVA for the university and SAP HCM for the university hospital). The UniCards (employee and student ID cards) are transferred between these systems, which leads to problems with allocation and administration. Only one active card of a certain card type (student, employee, affiliate) should exist per person.
If changes occur at the higher level, this inevitably has an impact on the downstream systems: For example, if a person moves from the university to the university hospital, the employee ID card is automatically blocked and a guest ID card must be requested if required.
If a person changes cost center and this change is also associated with a change of personnel administration system, the employee ID card is automatically extended and the authorizations are retained. The same applies if the employment position changes within one of the two personnel administration systems. It is currently an unresolved problem of the IAM that access authorizations are not automatically checked when cost centres are changed. This is currently being rectified and the data transfer processes are being adapted. We hope to get this problem under control in the next few days.
