Currently, the mail server of the central university administration (all @zv.uni-freiburg.de addresses) is disrupted.

On the day mentioned, the bwSync&Share service is not available because the server software for Nextcloud is being updated to a new release. All components will be updated.

16.03.2023: Aktuelle Phishing-E-Mails
At the moment there is an accumulation of phishing e-mails with the subject "Mail delivery failure: Allow suspended mails", among others. It is very important to be able to determine for yourself whether it is a phishing email.
HISinOne available again
The campus management system HISinOne is available again after a successful update.
Announcement: New Windows Group as of 1.6.2023
The university's computing centre has filled the department head position of the newly merged Windows group, and plans to restructure and improve Windows platform provision with a focus on workstation PCs and mobile devices.

The malfunction has been fixed by Versatel, the university is reachable from outside again
University of Freiburg not available by phone
Due to an error at the telephone service provider Versatel, the University cannot be reached by telephone. Connections within the university and externally are not affected. We are in contact with Versatel and are trying to solve the problem.

Conducting a feasibility study on waste heat utilisation (RZ/institute area)
As already written in the internal admin forum, the data centre is trying to achieve greater energy efficiency for IT operations. This includes the use of waste heat. Here, a feasibility study is being carried out, funded by the state's Ministry of the Environment, on the expanded use of waste heat from the data centre location in the institute area.
Digital exams: Limited use of the PC pools for individual learning
In these weeks, traditionally at the end of the semester, several large digital exams and e-exams are conducted in the computer centre and the PC pools in Werthmannstraße 4 with the help of bwLehrpool. For this purpose, the possibility of automated, time-controlled transfer of entire pool rooms into the specially secured examination mode is used. During this time, the use of the rooms for free practice is restricted.
myAccount is available again
myAccount malfunction
Due to a technical problem, the myAccount service is currently only available to a limited extent. We are working on a solution to the problem and apologise for the disruption.
27.02.2023: Announcement Change Central Firewall / Accessibility of Client Networks
In the course of IT security measures, the rules of the central firewall will be changed at the beginning of March with effects on client networks that were previously publicly accessible.
OnlyOffice in bwSync&Share does not work
After yesterday's maintenance, OnlyOffice, which is used to edit texts, tables etc. online in bwS&S, could not be made to work.

bwLehrpool-remote now available again
The bwLehrpool-remote service is now available again as usual.
bwLehrpool-remote: Capacity bottleneck Thurs. 16.2.
As almost all available client computers will be needed for e-examination purposes tomorrow, Thursday 16 February, there will be no bwLehrpool-remote available for a short time. The bwLehrpool-remote service will be available again as usual from approx. 17.00.
