The University IT Services offers University employees and faculties the possibility of saving their data through the TSM (Tivoli Storage Management) Service. TSM regularly stores all work on a PC or workstation computer on the internet. There is no need to install any special hardware for this service. This service can be set up to work on command or can be automated to perform a back-up at distinct intervals of time.
The back-up and archive service TSM operates under the cooperation of the IT Service Deparments at Freiburg and Heidelberg University.
Requirements
- In order to use TSM on your workstation computer, you will need:
- A UniAccount
- A valid e-mail address
- Internet connection
- Installation of the TSM-Client Software
