bwSync - Renewed faults (NextCloud country service; component OnlyOffice - "Licence expired")

Unfortunately, we have to report another failure of a subcomponent (use via web browser) of the state service bwSync&Share: The NextCloud component OnlyOffice reports "License expired" when opening documents. Other actions (saving, downloading files) are not affected. A message was sent to the operator.

Problems with VIMP media portal fixed

The problems with the media portal https://video.uni-freiburg.de have been fixed. All videos of this portal are available again both directly and via ILIAS. Since about 18:00 on Sunday, 06/13/2021, parts of the videos were not playable either directly on the media portal or via ILIAS due to a technical problem with the streaming server.

Use of pool rooms with bwLehrpool (preliminary considerations for opening RZ, WM4)

Due to recent developments, on-site pool use is moving back into reach. Currently, the pools are available for e-exams and can also be used for approved on-site events. Free practice still requires documentation of presence, which requires oversight personnel. This needs planning lead time as it also coincides with the regulations for opening the relevant buildings.

Announcement: Adobe Connect shutdown at the end of the lecture period

On 08/08/2021, the annual license of Adobe Connect will expire. Since the introduction of ZOOM and BigBlueButton, we have seen a steady decline in demand. Therefore, the University IT Services have decided to discontinue the university Adobe Connect server at the end of the lecture period. Those who want to use the functionality of Adobe Connect beyond this date and do not want to switch to BBB or ZOOM can switch to the Adobe Connect server of the "DFN-Verein" at no cost.
